Ashton Brooks on "Midwest Work Ethic, Cross-Country Career Moves, and the Importance of being Scrappy"
In the spirit of highlighting inspirational and thought-provoking content, I am excited to share my conversation with Ashton Brooks, co-founder and owner of Staywood Design, an architectural design-build firm that specializes in financial institutions.
Â
I’ve known Ashton since my sophomore year of college when we met through our business fraternity at Miami of Ohio. Ashton exudes energy and curiosity, and her problem-solving skills at all areas of life put me to shame. While we've been friends for years, during our interview I learned a lot about her life growing up as well as the events and people that put her on the career path she has today.
Â
In this podcast, Ashton shares her perspective on business school and how she balanced a rigorous MBA program while working full-time as well as lessons learned about culture, startups, and launching new products based on her experiences at a leading advertising agency and several consumer products organizations. Â
